China Trail Race (chinatrailrace.com) is a one-person project that compares China trail races. This page says what we collect and the choices you have. Draft: the legal wording and the contact address are unconfirmed until the owner reviews them.
Just reading the page
You do not need an account or any personal details to read the comparison. Our host, Cloudflare, keeps standard server logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) to serve and protect the site.
Analytics cookies (only if you accept)
We use Google Analytics to see which races people look at and which channel brought them here. It is switched off until you click Accept analytics on the banner. If you reject or ignore the banner, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google. The page works the same either way.
If you accept, Google Analytics sets cookies and records the pages you visit, the link or channel that sent you, your approximate location and your device type. Advertising storage and advertising features are switched off.
Google Analytics keeps event data for 14 months, then deletes it.
We remember your choice in your browser (local storage). To change your mind, use Analytics settings in the footer: it clears the saved choice, deletes the Google Analytics cookies we can reach, and asks again.
If you give us your email
If you ask to be told when 2027 dates and entry open, we collect your name, your email address and, if you give one, the races you are interested in. The form is a Google Form, so Google stores the answers on our behalf. We use them only to email you about 2027 dates and entry, and we do not sell them or share them with anyone else.
We keep your details for 14 months after you submit them, then delete them.

We use no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers.
Who handles your data
- Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps server logs.
- Google stores your form answers (Google Forms) and, if you accept, runs Google Analytics. Google may process data outside your country.
- No one else receives your data. We do not sell it.
Your choices
You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop emailing you, at any time. Write to the contact address in the page footer. Withdrawing consent does not affect anything done before you withdrew it.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we will update this page and its date.
